This is one of the shoes I’m honestly very excited about finishing. It’s my first time making a airmax 90 and I’m kinda surprised at how good they are coming out.
the Air jordan 1 model I know like the back of my hand but those are made a little different. Those are actually deconstructed/ reconstructed. Meaning, I use the original shoe to break down, add whichever fabric, then stitch back together. I’m making these the traditional shoe making techniques.
That means id make my own patterns on the last and go from there. That makes the shoe fit better on the last when I’m lasting the stitched up shoe onto it. It’s a slightly longer process but not all shoes can be decon/ Recon. Especially if it’s s shoe that just sits atop the sole instead of being stitched onto the midsole. visit my Instagram @mateogoods as well as checking back here to check my progress.
